PIN-TASTIC!

Do I need another reason for wanting an iPad? I don't think so. But this new app for Pinterest looks amazing on my iPhone and would surely look even better on an iPad.

Check it out here. Not set up with Pinterest? Drop me an email (theobsessiveimagist(at)gmail(dot)com) and I will send you an invite!

WELCOME TO THE FUTURE

A while back my friend David pointed me towards this crazy thing: a new concept refrigerator designed by Electrolux. The idea is that the appliance would have this odorless, residue-free gel that you could sink your food into, allowing you organize your space however you want. I am not sure how practical it is, but it sure makes for an amazing video!

Check it out and learn more here.

HAPPY WEEKEND!

I realize I am beginning to sound like a broken record, but I am still being walloped with exam work (and a week and a half left!). So I thought I would share this funny new Volkswagen commercial. It made me smile; hope it makes you smile too!

Have a great weekend!

CAMP CIRRUS

Adding to my recent obsession with all things Scandinavian, the swedish home goods company Camp Cirrus is chock full of some fabulous patterns and designs. I particularly love their offering of melamine trays, as seen above—that house pattern is great!

Check out out their other goodies here and find a shop that carries their work here.

COLOR STRIPES

A beautiful, if incidental pairing, I came across on Black*Eiffel this week. Above, Debussy's Calir de Lune by Music Animation Machine; below gorgeous buildings designed by Emmanuelle Moureau Architecture & Design (I am so in love with everything in their portfolio! You think they design NYC apartments?).

(This bottom building reminds me of this awesome building, no?)

CALVETICA

Calvetica is a designy iPhone application that turns your boring old calendar into something beautiful: a black, white and red Helvetica playground. Kind of reminds me of this and this, two of my favorite daily applications. Instantly downloaded.

Learn more about and buy Calvetica (for only $2.99!) here.

(thanks to minimalismo for the tip)

PER YOUR SUGGESTION: ICOEYE AND CONILAB

I am still in the thick of things with exams (just two more weeks!), so I am still keeping these posts short. In the past couple weeks I have received several wonderful emails from amazing artists asking me to share their work on the o.i. So, without further ado, here are two of my favorites.

Icoeye (whose awesome work I have posted about before here) has just designed Magritte inspired hangers. Love it! Check them out here.

The super sweet Coni, a graphic designer living in Barcelona, just tipped me off to her shop. Not surprisingly given my graphic tastes, I instantly wishlisted about ten of her posters. Check them out for yourself here.
