OFFICIALLY WISHLISTED: SEABAGS

Two summers ago my husband and I bought a small sailboat. As a Connecticut kid, I have been sailing all my life and I was delighted to discover my husband shared my enthusiasm. So now we have a small racing boat, something fun to speed along in, and we have slowly been kitting it out with fun gadgets and add ons. So when I saw this post on swissmiss yesterday, detailing the cool water tight 'Seabags' made by the Swiss companies Büro Destruct & Kitchener, I knew they would be the perfect addition to our sailboat wishlist. I mean, really, how can you resist the potent combination of utility and cuteness?

I WANT TO GO TO THERE: AIRBNB FLOATING HOUSE IN LONDON

Oh man, oh man. Life is crazy! One of my most loyal readers (hi Mom!) pointed out this weekend that I hadn't posted here in two weeks. Two weeks!, she said. Whoops! Has it really been that long?Turns out madly trying to write your dissertation before the fall graduation deadline, completing a bunch of last minute wedding calligraphy orders, preparing to move, writing conference applications and generally trying to keep your friends and family from forgetting what you look like takes some time! But I plan to keep popping in here as much as possible, don't worry! The photos above are of a cool project I stumbled across recently. AirBnB created an unusual ad campaign to celebrate London's new deregulation of AirBnB's short term apartment rental service —they built a full sized house, complete with two bedrooms and a yard and floated it down the Thames River. Apparently you could even rent a night's stay in the house (at least before it closed on May 22nd). Amazing, right? What a unique way to see the city!Learn more about the tiny floating AirBnB house here.p.s. Reminds me of this cute floating guy!

MISSADVENTURE

Guys, guys! Pitch Perfect 2 comes out this weekend! Are you going to see it? I have a shameless love for the first Pitch Perfect movie, so I will certainly be hitting it up asap.

My excitement for the sequel has me realizing something . . . I kind of have a girl crush on Anna Kendrick! Not the least because of this adorable new ad campaign she worked on for one of my favorite brands, Kate Spade. Called Miss Adventure, it is a sweet, funny, beautifully shot video series highlighting Kendrick as a stylish if hapless cool girl. I mean, don't we all need to embrace a bit of #missadventure in our life?

Check out the first video in the Miss Adventure campaign here and learn more about it here.

p.s. Doesn't the background music in these videos remind you of the interludes in 30 Rock?

p.p.s. Original girl crush, hands down, Lily Tomlin. She's awesome in every way.
