CHROMA LAB

Much to my delight, I recently received some lovely comments from the dynamic duo behind the Boston-based company 'Chroma Lab'. Selling hand painted furniture, wall treatments and clocks in an endless array of patterns and colors, Chroma Lab really lives up to its bright experimental name! Tony is trained as a decorative painter while Alicia is an art historian and color expert (a girl after my own heart!); truly a kick-ass combination! Also not to miss: their blog, chock full of inspiration and eye candy, which should be a daily read!

It has been cold and snowy here for a couple of days now, so I thought I would brighten up your day a bit by featuring some super cool 'rainbow' things I have come across recently. Because we all want to live a bit more colorfully, don't we?

BRIGHT AROUND THE EDGES

Alicia and Tony, of the beautiful blog and custom painted furniture/home shop Chroma Lab, know what's up. Their blog posts are overflowing with big juicy color—fun products, beautiful artwork, and much more—and when I saw this post about Marisa Swangha's photographs of the vivid pages of vintage books, I knew I had to share it. Consider these at the tippity top of my wish list.

BRILLIANT GEOMETRY

I recently came across the super cool geometric paintings by Julie Bonifay (of Etsy store magnapaint) on my favorite blog Chroma Lab. These small hand-painted works are highly reasonably priced—$20 to $40!—and would make a fabulous colorful (and economical!) addition to your home.

The paintings remind me of this fabulous mobile (which has made the blog rounds over the last several months) by Themis, now on sale at the MoMA Store for $28. Or the work of the amazing Ronald Davis, as posted about here.

THE WEDDING FILES: FINNISH DESIGN SHOP

Oh my goodness great design! Chroma Lab did me the wonderful favor of turning me on to the Finnish Design Shop. There are so many colorful clever products there I could faint. I mean, really, how amazing is that interlocking trivet? Or that circular knife? Awesome.

The best part?!! You can create a wedding/gift registry there. Done and done.
