PER YOUR SUGGESTION: EMAIL UPDATES!

Thanks to a kind nudge from reader Donna, I have now set up an email subscription service for the blog! If you prefer to get your obsessive fix directly in your inbox you can click the sign up link at right (under the "Want More?" heading). You will be asked to input your email; I promise it will not be shared with anyone else. After that simple step you can look forward to receiving an email every time I add a new post! Pretty cool, huh?

HOW ABOUT ORANGE DIY

There have been some really great do-it-yourself projects over at the lovely blog How About Orange. I particularly love the idea of using recycled magazines and newspapers (duh, I did it a lot here) to make fun new things. FIVE BIG ONES!

Just a little announcement: the obsessive imagist has hit 5000 views!  Hooray!  It feels like just yesterday that the o.i. hit 3000 . . . 

Thank you my lovely, devoted readers!   I can't tell you how satisfying it is to know that things that make me smile also resonate with you all.

With that said, one favor: comments, comments, comments!  I want to hear from you!  Feel free to leave a little note to say hi or a long note to respond to a post.  Let me know what you think about all of the new o.i. features!

NEW GRAPHIC DESIGN PROJECTS

Looking at my recent postcard design projects, I have noticed a trend in my graphic aesthetic . . . ORANGE! Apparently orange and blue are particular sources of inspiration for me. No matter, I am pretty psyched about the fun, colorful designs that came out of these basic assignments: a tour schedule, a lecture event, and a change of occupation/address card. CHANGES

I've been avoiding all of the important things on my to do list and instead have spent some time tooling around with the extras on my blog.  I have changed the typeface and added some fun new stuff: a search engine, month-by-month archives, email updates . . . feel free to take advantage and let me know what you think.  If you are feeling particularly generous you can also sign up to be a "google friend" of the o.i. or forward the blog website to some new readers.

UPDATE: I also just added "blogcast" to facebook so you can be notified about new o.i. posts through my newsfeed!
