I am furiously working on a secret surprise for my hubby-to-be, so I am keeping this short. How cool is this insane project? Apparently as part of a Sony Bravia commercial several years ago, thousands of bouncy balls were released to go streaming down a San Francisco street. Photographer Peter Funch captured the whole thing in these amazing photos. Fantastic!

FLOWER PETAL FRENZY

How cool is this? Remember when Sony let loose thousands of bouncy balls to represent the HD of their new Sony Bravia tv? Well they have done it again! Sony just released a new commercial in which they exploded a volcano full of 8 million flower petals all over a small town in central Costa Rica. Gorgeous right? It's like this famous scene without the creepy undercurrents!

Read more about the project, see some behind the scenes shots and the final commercial here.

PUKA PUKA DOT MOBILE

DOT MODERN MOBILE
DOT MODERN MOBILE

I have been looking to add a mobile to our apartment decor for a long time (that and a collection of bouncy balls, a movie marquee, a photo booth . . . the wish list goes on and on!). I was originally thinking of something black and modern (like the one I mentioned here), but this soft "polka dot" mobile by Puka Puka is super adorable. I know it is supposed to be for "babies", but I think it would be wonderful to have two or three of these hanging above a long dining table. They would certainly give a pop of color to a white-walled rental!
