IDEAL BOOKSHELF

I have been wanting to do a book wishlist post for a while, but I was having trouble finding a widget that made my picks look cool enough (and not like a long boring list!). Well, not surprisingly, Amazon had just the thing: the carousel!

You can use the arrows below each carousel to scroll through my choices (click and hold) and you can click on the book cover to get its price and information. You can obviously find all of these books in many, many other bookstores, but it was easiest to send you to one place. So, without further ado, I present to you my Ideal Bookshelf . . . just in time for the start of the holiday season! GIFTED MAGAZINE

This weekend I discovered a new online design magazine: Gifted. Brought to you by Creature Comforts, it has a 100+ pages of major inspiration! I found myself drooling over each and every spread and I now have about 10 crafty projects on my 'to do' list. Seriously, this mag is awesome!

I particularly love the fact that, since the magazine is digital, you can click through to shop links all while you are reading. Super cool.

It seems everyone is in love with the illustrations of Blanca Gómez. And with good reason! Everything she creates is perfectly playful, brightly colored, and just plain fun!

I love the new additions to her Etsy shop. How cute is that heart thought bubble? I think it would look fabulous hung over a bed . . . The best part? Most of the above prints are only $22-$30!

NUTTY FOR NUTELLA

Recently swissmiss posted about the fabulous food blog 'One Hungry Mama'. Written by a Brooklyn mom, it features easy healthy recipes that your kids will actually like.

Well, it turns out you don't have to be a kid to like the recipes. I immediately found two that made me drool: Nutella Hot Chocolate and Nutella Swirled Banana Bread. And since it is a rainy cool fall day today in New York City, I think I will try them both out. Can't wait!

PROJECT THIRTY THREE

Having handed in three papers yesterday, I can now safely say that I am back in the (blogging) swing of things! I still have a video post to share with you that somehow didn't make it up on Friday; I will try to get that posted soon.

Until then, I would like to recommend a fabulous blog I recently discovered: Project Thirty Three. The blog is solely composed of vintage album covers that the owner of Jive Time Records has collected, scanned and archived for our viewing pleasure! There are some real gems there—this site promises to deliver some serious graphic inspiration day in and day out. I also love the fact that you can search past posts by the shapes featured in the design (you know I will be going through the "circles and dots" group!). Brilliant!
